The list of tools below is comprehensive and represent some of the things that might be needed for a proposal effort, Some like the proposal "Proposal Checklist" are simply a must do; you can't afford to leave anything out or miss something. Others like the "Strategy Self-Assessment" and  "Market Competitive Assessment" are useful for two reasons: they help you focus and they help me gain some background on your company. "Storyboards" is a good way of getting your entire team on the same page, but it can be time consuming. Many customers perfer to save it for the Phase IIs and BAAs. Obviously, we can tailor all of these to meet your individual needs (and funds available).

DARPA is very friendly to small businesses.  Their BAA (Broad Agency Announcements) solicitations are easy in format and offer a great opportunity for funding innovative ideas.  They also offer SBIR awards.

You need to be registered at CCR in order to obtain a government contract.  It's simple and free.

 

You should register here and obtain a D&B number.  This is also a good place to obtain credit and basic information about potential vendors and subcontractors.
