Joe Morris was a bona fide rocket scientist (with six patents) who has developed a passion for working with small businesses and who has caught the entrepreneur bug.  Joe has spent thirty plus years in engineering, program management, and business development, working in every size organization from business startups to the US government.  He has founded two startups, one successfully and one unsuccessfully.  He believes that the lessons learned from the failure are just as important, if not more important, as those learned from successes.  Joe has a BS in Physics and a BE in Mechanical Engineering from New York University and has taken MBA courses, including six finance courses. He also has a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification as well as a Six Sigma Greenbelt, and is also EVMS trained.

He's focused on helping small companies obtain government funding through the Small Business Innovative Research  (SBIR) Program and other sources of funding open to small businesses such as Broad Agency Announcements (BAA).  Joe also has experience in writing business plans as well as proposals.

• Continuing assistance in managing awarded programs, including aid in developing the necessary infrastructure required by the government. 
• Expertise in developing alliances with larger companies and in developing niche market capture strategies, particularly in the Department of Defense and Aerospace arenas. 
• Experience in working with overseas customers and in obtaining appropriate export licensing and documentation.
